Details of UPSC (PRELIMS+MAINS) PROGRAMME 2027
We are very happy to announce that we have entered the eighth year of this initiative and are launching one of the best Prelims Test Series for UPSC Prelims Exam 2027.
This is the first academy which is dedicated fully for Prelims exam. “For last 8 years, I am just preparing Prelims questions for you all”. Be confident about our platform and source as our entire energy is into helping students for “Prelims”. (Abhishek sir)
Latest data of GOALTIDE RESULTS:
In 2025, 52 students of GOALTIDE cleared Prelims. Out of 52, 10 reached interview stage and finally 5 got selected in the final list. This 52 is not a small number. We have toppers this year “who qualified for first time in prelims” from GOALTIDE. When you have 1-2k students over all, results are bound to come. But out of 337, 52 is a very big number.
All five toppers below (2 still have not met, we will meet and upload them too.)

Before you read further, I want to be very straightforward. Once you are into this preparation, you have to take yourself to the next level. Till now, you might have been easy with your schedule, behaviour, personality. Now, you have to change things gradually.
“This is the last time when you are trying to do something better for your life”. So now, you have to promise yourself that you are going to work very hard for this exam. In the beginning you may be slow, weak, but you will be changing everything.
Next and very important thing, “you are not alone in this journey”. Besides your parents, siblings, good friends, I will be there throughout your preparation. We are going to meet every week, we will discuss schedule, syllabus and everything you want to discuss.
So, let’s start 2027 UPSC preparation with right direction and approach.
‘If I provide you the best practice from the beginning, there is no single reason you should fail in UPSC Prelims 2026. Just you need to follow us.
Very first question, how we are going to plan our schedule and structure?
This year, we are moving with something new. Every year, with a little effort, I try to help many students qualify for the UPSC Prelims on their very first attempt.
But then, I see they fail in Mains. This is sad. I know I run a Prelims IAS academy, but seeing a large number of students failing in Mains is disappointing for me. So, “this year along with Prelims, I also want to work on your answer writing evaluation”.
We will discuss first Prelims, then we will explain our Mains Programme.
How we help students to clear Prelims Exam?
First, I want to provide you some numbers. Every year, 70 percent of our students are those who were not able to clear Prelims in previous attempts. They come to me after they are tired from everywhere.
Abhijit Ray (Rank 50, 2021), first time cleared Prelims in 2021 after he joined Goaltide series,
Jyoti, IAS, 2021 BATCH, She Cleared Prelims after 4 attempts, first time after she joined Goaltide,
Arjun Gupta (Rank 32, 2023), he joined Goaltide in very first attempt and cleared,
Swati Sharma, rank 17, after she failed twice, she practiced on Goaltide in 2024 first time and cleared Prelims,
Shubham D (Rank 963, 2023), he never failed in Prelims for last 4 years after he joined Goaltide, and many more examples… (we have interview of all above mentioned students on our platform).
Shambhavi Tiwari (Rank 445, 2024), she qualified for the Prelims first time on Goaltide after failure, Murugesan (Rank 537, 2024), he is qualifying Prelims for last two years,
Madhukant (Rank 578, 2024), he qualified Prelims for the first time on GOALTIDE.
In 2025, we have Gaurav Ojha (204), Tushar Giri (395), Abhigyan Jyoti Bora (570), Pravin Kolape (584), Narendra Rathod (840).
‘There is no miracle. It is just giving best practice to them for Prelims on daily basis.’
“Five strategies” we follow to help you clear Prelims:
|
1. P + P = Prelims Exam (‘Practice’ Questions + ‘Practicing’ good questions = ‘Prelims’ exam.) |
We will learn entire Prelims in the form of questions from ‘scratch to advance’. Every day and every week, we are going to solve questions. We need a very good practice if we want clear Prelims. In the end, for Prelims, they ask you questions, not theory. My entire focus is to give you questions from every corner. We have beautifully designed syllabus and schedule; you need to follow that.
We will have total around 70 Tests which cover all your static subjects, Current Affairs, Map-based Tests, FLTs, revision tests and many more.
|
2. Newspaper is Everything |

Ye aapka sab kuch hai..
Nothing in this UPSC journey will replace your newspaper. If someone says, they can, immediately replace them. This is the first time; we will have weekly Prelims sessions where I will be providing Prelims document from important Articles and taking sessions on how to make Prelims notes from newspaper.
|
3. Current-Affairs Section… |
We will complete entire Current Affairs from Prelims from May 2026 to April 2027. For this we will provide you three important documents:
- Weekly Current Affairs magazine.
- Newspaper to Prelims (N2P) (ABHYAAS + WEEKLY NEWSPAPER PRACTICE SHEETS)
- For every month from June to April 2026, we have included Test in our Test Series.
- Compilations of questions based on Current Affairs weekly.
- Weekly Newspaper based Test (30 questions)
Your entire Current Affairs will be covered from basics to advanced.
Now what exactly you mean by Newspaper to Prelims (N2P)?
I will cover Articles from different newspaper and important websites and will frame questions and answers and provide to you on weekly basis. (The Hindu, Indian Express, Hindustan Times, Business Standard, Morning Standard, PIB and different UN websites)
I will give you three examples:

Prelims questions related to above article:
- Is Delimitation a constitutional mandate or done by Convention?
- The number of seats in Lok Sabha changes after each census?
- Which amendment froze the total Parliamentary and Assembly seats in each state till 2001 Census?
- How many times Delimitation Commission has been set up?
- Why there was no delimitation of constituencies after 2002?
- Composition of Delimitation Commission.
Hint:

A Delimitation Commission has been set up four times in India: in 1952, 1963, 1973, and 2002, based on the respective Delimitation Acts of those years.
The most recent delimitation commission was set up on 12 July 2002 after the 2001 census.
The Constitution of India was specifically amended (84th amendment) in 2002, not to have interstate delimitation of constituencies till the "first census conducted after the year 2026". Thus, the present constituencies carved out on the basis of the 2001 census shall continue to be in operation till then.

Prelims questions related to above article:
- India’s export to China is increasing in last 5 years?
- India’ imports from China is increasing in last 5 years?

- Share of India’s exports to US have increased in last 10 years?
Hope, you got some idea what exactly we are doing. We are going to give you similar article from different Newspaper so that your coverage is best. We have to be prepared for the toughest paper.
You will never get time to revise. Because once your optional will start, you will be busy entire day.
“Newspaper to Prelims (N2P)” will be conducted frequently throughout session to help you with the revision. For example, you will be called live and asked to solve random 30 Prelims questions every week, questions based on last week current affairs (it will be a tough part, but you learn to handle pressure).

4. One-to-one mentorship |
Aap chahe kitne bhi smart h, aap zameen par giroge after every one or two month and then you need someone to lift you.
This is where you all are misguided. Anywhere you join, they will talk about one-to-one mentorship.
I can assure you, entire year whenever you need me, I will be there. I took this year more than 200 one-to-one sessions whenever student required. This is of great help.
Process is simple: Just need to inform for session. Abhishek sir will personally take your session. We do not give this task to any other employees.
You can talk about schedule framework, time management, test doubts, or any other issues which is becoming obstacle in your exam.
Why CSE aspirants should join Goaltide? Why it is different from other institutions?
Sometimes I feel why not every student joining Goaltide? This is the very first academy in India which deals “only with Prelims exam”. For the last six year, we are working day and night only for Prelims.
I have personally designed this academy for Prelims due to following reason:
- This is the most difficult phase of you UPSC. Mains main fail ho jaoge, no one will question you. But if you are consistently failing in Prelims, you will doubt yourself, everyone will doubt your eligibility.
- 90 percent of you are failing in Prelims because neither you are practicing, nor you are getting right thing to practice.
- Zero mentorship. Kuch bhi, kbhi bhi aap padhe jaa rhe h, without any strategies, targets.
We find two major problems with Test Series available in markets:
- Most of the questions are outdated. No relevance in today’s scenario.
- There is huge gap between available Test Series and UPSC asked questions. You will never be able to prepare yourself with the help of such questions.
|
But why most of the students practice them? |
- It’s a brand now. Students are bound to choose them.
- Huge advertisements. They influence students.
- Large number of Tests. It attracts students.
|
So, where these Test Papers lack? What are the consequences? Read carefully. |
- It will never ever prepare you for the test that you are going to take in examination hall.
- You can never gauge your performance based on the scores of these Tests (solving irrelevant questions makes no sense)
- Before examination, you have to deal with all irrelevant topics in these papers while revising.
|
So, now tell us what makes Goaltide different from other Test Series? |
A basic principle we follow, we don’t go for any speculation of any pattern for upcoming exam. For us, every subject, every topic is important.
We are not conducting these test series to make you “feel good”. We want to demotivate you, trouble you, grill you in every question you solve. Believe us, if we don’t do this, you are not going to improve or learn the required thing.
|
Four important things which we will focus: |
- Our questions will not only try to fail you at every step but also give you the best learning from it. We believe you must fail many times before the exam, that is the best learning from any Test Series.
- A simple principle you must follow: Practice less but quality questions. Asking many tests will contain outdated and irrelevant questions. What we will provide you one Test (50 questions), you will never learn such concepts from anywhere. Concepts and clarity are very important to understand this exam.
- The test series which don’t provide quality explanations and carry your doubts, just discard them. They are of no use.
- A sense of CONFIDENCE. The best review we get from our students are: Sir, the paper was tough but our confidence was well enough to handle such questions. And they all cleared Prelims.
Confidence is the key to clearing the Prelims exam. If you gain confidence before exam, you will never be defeated. And you will get enough confidence once you solve all our Papers.
|
Once you enroll for Test Series, what all things will be provided? |
- You will be able to give online tests.
- You will be provided with two PDFs. One of question paper and the other with Questions and Solutions both for every test. It is downloadable.
- Tests are not time bound. You can give any test any time.
- Daily Quiz and Current Affairs compilations. Downloadable.
- One to one mentorship whenever needed by you.
- Whenever you join Test Series, you will get all the test from the very beginning no matter when you join.
- We can assure you no one will give you such an effective Test Series at this price which is so affordable.
- A Doubts section to solve all your queries.
MAINS ANSWER WRITING PROGRAMME: A “NEW INITIATIVE”
This initiative is only for my students, who are part of Prelims 2027 Programme.
“Like prelims, I have made this initiative very unique and designed in a way that it will help you gain good command on Mains as well”.
Before we proceed, what are the problems we face in Mains?
- Don’t want to write answers on regular basis unless someone put a gun on head (that we are going to do).
- Don’t know what questions to practice.
- Even if we write, we don’t know it is good or not.
- Speed is the biggest problem.
- As we have so many subjects, how to divide subjects.
After knowing all these, what mistakes we do?
- We immediately join comprehensive test series which we end up in just 1 months’ time as we fail to follow their syllabus and routine.
- It is mandatory that before going for full-fledged test, we have to develop that flow of answer writing by ourselves (that we are going to do for you). We don’t do that.
- We plan answer writing abruptly. Kabhi bhi koi bhi test likh rhe h. It doesn’t work like this. We have to be consistent.
How GOALTIDE is going to help you?
We will provide you questions, give you syllabus and do evaluation of your answer sheet which you will upload on your dedicated portal provided by us.
Our Mains answer writing Programme is divided in 3 phases:
- May 2026 to June 2026
- July- August
- September 2026 to January 2027
|
Process:
|
First Phase- May to June 2026 (Basic static+ Current Affairs)
This series will start from 5th May.
Here pattern will be:
- Four days in a week.
- Medium will be English
- We will give you three questions daily (2 short+ 1 long).
- So total number of questions you will practice is: 22*3 = 66 questions.
- Evaluation will be done for every test.
I want you to write. I want you to move your pen. I want you to first remove fear of writing. If I start with tough questions, you will never write answers.
I will start with basics questions. For example:
- What is importance of Preamble?
- Define Rule of Law.
- What is the idea of Secularism in the context of India.
Once you develop that art of writing small questions with flow, we will shift to PHASE 2.
Second Phase- July 2026 to August 2026 (Basics + Current Affairs questions)
Here we will ask you to write long questions answer. It is important to note here that we are making it tough after every phase because in the beginning your content is not enriched. You are still covering NCERT, trying to learn first chapter of advanced books. So gradually we are increasing toughness level.
This gradual shift will not create any pressure on you. If you execute this phase well, it’s a positive sign and you are ready to enter the next phase which starts as a very crucial phase, PHASE 3.
Here also we are going to write 2 long + 1 short answer 4 days in week. We will provide you question, and proper enriched evaluation.
Third Phase- September 2026 to December 2026
This is very important phase. Because in the very first two phases, we were laying foundation. But from third phase “we will shift to our UPSC Mains syllabus”.
Full September Month + First week of October, we will start with GS II, Paper III:
GS II, PAPER III:
There are 21 bullet points (check below). We will cover one topic daily. We will evaluate your answers.

From October to November first week, we will complete our GS 1, PAPER 2.

From November to December first week, we will complete our GS III, PAPER IV.

From December first week to 31st December, we will complete our GS IV, PAPER V.

JANUARY 2027: We will write 4 essays Test. And four Full length tests.
This will be your end of MAINS writing Programme.
