India and 34 nations signed the Joint Statement on AI Opportunity at the second Pax Silica Summit held June 25–26 in Washington, D.C., committing to a pro-growth regulatory approach to AI.

Highlights of Joint Statement on AI Opportunity:

1. Promotes a pro-growth, pro-innovation approach to AI governance, prioritizing capacity building over restrictive regulation.
2. Aims to strengthen the physical AI ecosystem through secure supply chains for semiconductors, critical minerals, energy, and computing infrastructure.
3. Advocates "innovation sovereignty" through collaboration among trusted partners instead of isolated digital self-sufficiency.
4. Encourages joint ventures, resource sharing, and controlled access to critical AI infrastructure to enhance technological resilience.
